Athleisure is getting another high-tech, high-fashion injection with Lululemon and Roksanda’s newest sporting apparel collection. The latest sportswear and catwalk collaboration to hit the racks introduces a limited-edition collection bridging together the iconic block-colour aesthetic of London-based Serbian fashion designer Roksanda Ilinčić—whose eponymous brand has been worn by trendsetters like Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama—and the innovative sweat-wicking fabric tech of Lululemon for look-good, feel-good sportswear.
Dropped on October 22nd, the line features 17 items from sports bras to leggings to jackets. On Lululemon’s Instagram page, they describe the collaboration: “as multifaceted as the woman they were designed for.” Incorporating a pink and purple palette with clashing black and yellow, the angular, geometric patterns fulfil the ‘bold, feminine aesthetic’ in the collection’s tagline.
Designed for yoga, running, strength training and the everyday activities between the gym, the collection blends technical innovations like Lululemon’s trademark Luxtreme®—a fabric which is resistant to sweat odour, provides ‘four-way stretch’ and doesn’t shrink in the wash—to make the items as functional for fitness as they are stylish for everyday wear.
