October 6: Handstand Practice with Pure Yoga

October 6-14: Hong Kong Tennis Open
Taking place at Victoria Park Tennis Stadium, the WTA Tour returns to Hong Kong for it’s 5th anniversary. This international-tier competition has prize money of HK$500,000 and features the world’s top women tennis stars like Naomi Osaka, who won the controversial US Open last month. October 2, 9 & 16: Kundalini Yoga For Vitality

October 11: Balance the Chakras with Felo Sophie
Felo Sophie, the boutique Hong Kong athleisure wear brand, is soft-launching their wellness studio this month, and kicking off with an energy workshop on October 11. In collaboration with Flo Jewellery, the session will focus on the chakras: Flora Chan will guide participants through the seven chakras to help discover energy centres and become more aware of where energy may be blocked. October 13: AVOHK Reservoir Series
Another race series kicks off this month, with AVOHK’s Reservoir Series beginning on October 13th at Tai Lum Chung Reservoir. Races range between eight and 15 kilometres and offer beautiful scenic routes around Hong Kong. Find out how to sign up here.
October 18: Pink Season Health Day
Pink Season is back for a whole selection of LGBTQ+ events over the course of October, raising awareness and celebrating inclusion through education, arts, music and sports. The Health Day education workshop is hosted by AIDS Concern Hong Kong, and will feature discussions on depression, addiction, domestic violence, and the stigma surrounding HIV testing. October 20: HK50 Race
If you’re looking for more of a challenging run this month, take a look at Action Asia’s 50-kilometre ultramarathon. The trail-and-road race stretches from The Peak to Wong Nai Chung Gap, via Tai Tam—and while it’s described as one of their easier courses, we wouldn’t bet on it being a walk in the park. October 21: Pink Walk For Breast Cancer Awareness Month
As the most common cancer in women in the world, and one in 16 Hong Kong women developing breast cancer in her lifetime, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is vital for raising awareness, education and funds for Breast Cancer Foundation. HKBCF’s annual signature fundraiser, Pink Walk, will take place on October 21st on Peak Road Garden.
October 22: Fireside Chat “The Future of Wellness Travel”

October 27-28: Shi Fu Miz Festival
Shi Fu Miz Festival, the Hong Kong music and arts festival, returns this year in collavoration with Green is the New Black, with the promise of being Hong Kong’s first zero-waste festival. In addition to their sustainability efforts, the beach-side festival in Sai Yuen, Cheung Chau, offers a selection of music performances, yoga workshops, ecology talks, beach-clean up and farming sessions, and a gong bath from Nitido. October 28: Pink Season Sports Day
In 2022, Hong Kong will become the first city in Asia to host the Gay Games, a unique festival celebrating LGBTQ+ communities through art, drama, music and sport. In anticipation of this event, Pink Season closes with a day of tag archery, underwater hockey, aerial yoga, tennis and volleyball. The event is free, but registration is recommended.
