Joali Sustainability Fund announces five grand recipients
Joali, encompassing Joali Maldives and Joali Being, demonstrates its commitment to sustainable practices, responsible tourism, and community welfare through the Joali Sustainability Fund. This initiative focuses on supporting locally-led projects in Raa Atoll, the location of both Joali properties. With $15,000 USD distributed among five chosen projects, the fund emphasises safeguarding the planet, wellbeing, empowering women, and ethical consumption. The selected projects range from hydroponic vegetable gardens for local schools, inclusive education programmes, skill development opportunities for youth, and dental radiography in a regional hospital, to empowering women through farming initiatives.
