Channelling exactly that, St Regis Macao has launched a new Exquisite Aromatherapy Experience at its 38th-floor Iridium Spa in Cotai Central.
The curated treatment helps guests understand the scents they like and dislike, and uses this in a body scrub workshop. Working with an aromatherapy expert, guests can test different essential oils before combining a top, middle and base note with moisturising shea butter and one of three natural exfoliants—silicon, ground peach, or mung bean—to create a customised body scrub to be used in a 45-minute massage and body revitalisation treatment.

Ranging from zesty Kafir Lime to sweet Grapefruit, grounding Rosewood to sharp Sweet Basil, guests can select from over 18 different scents to create essential oil combinations that aid sleep, energise, relief stress or ease muscle tension. Derived from natural plant extracts, the Iridium Spa uses the highest quality ingredients to boost wellbeing in a luxurious, tailored way. Guests can also create their own essential oil diffuser, bringing wellness scents from the spa to home.
Aside from the new aromatherapy experience, the 8,430-square-foot Iridium Spa offers a range of rejuvenating therapies, including a weekday retreat programme which offers an 80-minute gemstone massage and access to the St Regis Athletic Club, the eight-floor fitness facilities. The Athletic Club boasts a light and airy gym with floor-to-ceiling windows and state-of-the-art Technogym equipment. Guests are also offered complimentary classes three times weekly in the fitness studio, overlooking the resorts two outdoor heated pools. Focused on building core strength, the classes change weekly but can include yoga, Pilates and aerobics. Hotel guests have full access to the Athletic Club facilities, although access is also available via The St Regis Athletic Club Membership.
