Dreamy Indonesian resort Bawah Reserve is adding two new wellness programmes to its offerings from January 2020. Focused on restorative wellbeing, the programmes—Journey to Calm and Journey to Vitality—will be available for a minimum of three nights bridging together holistic practices like meditation with relaxing spa therapies.
The exclusive retreat, accessible only by private seaplane via Singapore, will provide transformation wellness experiences centred around six core pillars: physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, social and environmental. Nature plays a key role in the retreats, incorporating Bawah Reserve’s incredible natural resources and landscape—beaches, forests, lagoons and tropical islands—alongside nutritious organic dining and meditation.
Journey to Calm
This is one for the stressed-out corporate types who can’t go thirty seconds without looking at their phone. Get into the pace of island life and combat stress with a mindfulness journey that includes a life-coaching session, private movement class, and instruction on breathing and mindfulness.
The wellness retreat additionally invites guests to join daily yoga classes and floating meditation sessions, herbal tonic workshop and a daily therapy at the Aura Spa, like a full-body oil massage or ‘facial yoga’ which uses jade stones to improve blood circulation.
Journey to Vitality
Lost your mojo, low on energy, or find yourself saying you’re constantly tired? This programme is a ‘reboot’ button that energises body and mind with private movement classes, postural analysis, paddleboard yoga and private cooking classes.
The programme includes daily spa treatments, like the Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub or the ‘Fit Body’ therapy which combines spices like turmeric and sandalwood for an age-old Javanese beauty ritual. Other activities include snrokelling, kayaking, hiking and sailing with your dedicated Island Host who will help curate an adventure to inspire and amaze you.
Rates for a three-night Wellbeing Journey at Bawah Reserve start from US$6,940, based on two people sharing on an all-inclusive basis (excluding alcohol and diving).
