How Golden Door Health Resort Is Teaching Wellness Transformations

They say that if you can teach a man to fish, he’ll never go hungry, which is much the motto Golden Door Health Resort adopts in its approach to wellness. Offering all-inclusive health and wellness programmes that have been developed to motivate change and give guests tools for lasting results once their retreat stay is finished. With a comprehensive education programme to compliment packages that focus on health and relaxation, Golden Door Health Resort is one of Australia’s best purpose-built destination health resorts.

Food Programme

Serving up nutritious, wholesome meals, the food at Golden Door reflects the health-driven focus of the rest of the retreat. With a ‘back-to-basics’ approach to eating, the kitchen philosophy revolves around moderation and concentrates on three simple principles: wholefoods, sensible portions, and well-spaced meal times. Designed to give the body a rest from red meat, alcohol, caffeine, sugar and saturated fat, dishes are largely vegetarian, although white meat and fish options are available.

Designed to boost energy and vitality, each meal is packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and nutrients. Noteworthy dishes include the green smoothie bowl, the chicken and vegetable moussaka bake, the quinoa tabbouleh, and the ocean trout rice paper rolls. The retreat’s liquid menu is equally appetising and includes hearty soups, cleansing juices, nourishing smoothies, and aromatic herbal teas.
