Luxury Travel Intelligence (LTI) has taken on the monumental task of deciding on the top ten openings in the luxury sector for the last decade, and there are some stellar properties on the list.
To create this list, LTI utilised the research of 12 global experts to narrow down its top ten, commenting in the report that, “This has been an extraordinary ten years for the global luxury hotel sector, with constant development and huge ‘money is no object’ investment taking place, bringing the luxury traveller a vast choice of superb new properties.”

With three Maldivian properties on the list, the island nation reigns supreme in innovative luxury offerings, while the high number of private island properties showcase an increased demand for exclusivity and privacy when seeking out luxury accommodation.
