Home to the only beach in Phuket where the endangered green sea turtles can lay their eggs, and they returned last year. After a year of care in the turtle nursery, Trisara is releasing the turtles back into the Andaman Sea to commemorate its 15th year anniversary.
Guests can get involved alongside the conservationist experts: kitted out in the appropriate gloves and attire, guests will be guided by the Marine Biology Centre to assist in releasing the turtles back to the sea.
“We are thrilled to be part of this cycle of life at Trisara,” said Kittisak Pattamasaevi, the Chief Executive Officer for Montara Hospitality Group. “Most marine turtles lay their eggs in the same location year after year, therefore, it is our responsibility to ensure the delicate ecosystem surrounding our property is well-preserved for their return and ultimately, survival.”

Trisara‘s other sustainability efforts include the low-density development of the property, use of recyclable materials in the place of single-use plastic, collection and filtration of rainwater, use of LED lights instead of halogen, and electric buggies on the property rather than petrol vehicles.
As an added 15th-anniversary promotion, guests booking at Trisara between now and April 30th 2020 for three nights or more will receive a resort credit of US$1,119, which can be applied to relaxing spa treatments at Jara Spa, delicious dining at their onsite restaurant Seafood, or off-site activities like boat trips or snorkelling.
