July 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29: Aerial Yoga Workshop

Fancy ‘elevating’ your yoga practice? If you’re looking for a new fitness challenge, try aerial yoga in this three-part, one-day beginners workshop. An aerial yoga class at Yoga Bam Bam Central is then followed by a hike to Tai Long Wan, and then an aerial session in bamboo tripods over the ocean. No experience required. Sign up here.

Campfire and Trybe are collaborating for an exclusive one-off class here in their Wong Chuk Hang space. With IRIS and Asia Yoga Conference over and done with, you won’t be alone in thinking Hong Kong is out of wellness festivals. July 19-28: Xavier Garnier, Dao Liao (Knife Massage) Specialist at The Mandarin Spa

The award-winning Mandarin Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong welcomes Xavier Garnier, a specialist in dao liao, or knife massage, to host a series of one-on-one consultations from 19 to 28 July 2018. Dao Liao is a 2,500-year-old traditional Chinese Therapy which involves using knives as conductive tools on distinct parts of the body to direct the flow of qi and restore the balance of one’s energy. July 27-29: Ashtanga Yoga Weekend Workshop With Kino McGregor

Head to Hutchinson for a rare opportunity to learn more about Ashtanga Yoga on a three-day workshop. Kino MacGregor is one of a select group of people to receive the certification to teach Ashtanga Yoga from its founder Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. The Landmark Mandarin Oriental launched their Living Well Partnership in June, becoming the first hotel to use Nordaq Fresh water filters, and eliminating single-use plastic bottles and straws throughout the hotel. Additionally, the Oriental Spa has renovated its gym and Pilates studio. The new gym equipment includes Fitness On Demand™, the latest in Virtual Reality fitness tech, while the Pilates studio features new functional equipment.

Pret has launched a new vegan menu in Hong Kong, with sandwiches, salads, smoothies and desserts for those on plant-based diets

Oatly has partnered with Pacific Coffee, making your lactose-free latte even easier to access

Yeechoo, the sustainable designer fashion tech startup which allows the fashion-forward to rent on-trend clothing for one-off wear or holiday packages instead of purchasing it is launching a new app, Infinity, which will allow users to rent 6 pieces per month for HK$800. If you’ve been looking to break that bad fast-fashion habit, this is where to start.

And talking of fashion, the Koture Kapsule pop-up which features sustainable designers from around the world, is still open until July 14th, and will be looking at taking the collection online in coming months – watch this space.

Ce La Vie has launched a fresh new summer menu for their Executive set lunch, which includes Spicy Coriander Salmon and Tuna Tataki for a lighter lunch.
