In late January, Compare Retreats held its inaugural Luxury Wellness Travel Awards for 2024 hosted at venue sponsor YUN WELLNESS, Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong. An international guest list comprised representatives from resorts worldwide, travel PR agencies, international media, and wellness ambassadors. With over 70,000 votes, the event celebrated the world’s best luxury wellness hotels, retreats, beauty brands, and trailblazers in wellness travel.
The awards kicked off with a presentation and awards announcement, followed by a captivating panel discussion featuring Compare Retreats founder Dervla Louli Musgrave, Island Shangri-La Executive Chef Uwe Opocensky and Nutritional Therapist Katia Demekhina, shedding light on staying healthy beyond award-winning wellness retreats.
From Belo Beauty in the Philippines to Soneva in the Maldives, Nihi Sumba in Indonesia, and TIA Wellness Resort in Vietnam, the greatest minds in the luxury wellness travel industries were in attendance. From Hong Kong, there were the award-winning teams from The Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, The Landmark Mandarin and Swire Hotels. There were also representatives from Chanel, Aman, Six Senses, COMO, Bulgari, Armani and more.
The evening culminated in unveiling the Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners across 20 categories, showcasing the pinnacle of luxury wellness in the industry. Congratulations to all the winners, and a special thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this remarkable event.
