New Hotel Opening: The Hari Hong Kong

It’s been an unprecedented year of hardship for the hospitality industry—but things are starting to look up, and it’s beyond the enticing staycation offers: a new hotel opening. The Hari Hong Kong opened its doors on December 12th as the latest luxury addition to Hong Kong’s esteemed legacy of heritage hotel brands. The stylish retreat and humble home fosters a deep appreciation for the neighbouring areas of Causeway Bay and Wan Chai, where culture and the arts meets, in the heart of the city. London folk are likely to know of the hospitality brand’s flagship in Belgravia, which set the bar for the Harilela Family’s second chapter in Hong Kong—without further ado, here’s what to expect at the new hotel…

The Hari Hong Kong is the brand’s second outpost, a vision of Dr. Aron Harilela, Chairman and CEO of Harilela Hotels Ltd. The group was established in 1959 and is owned wholly by the Harilela family, the parent company of Harilela Hotels which owns 15 properties across Hong Kong, China, Asia, Europe, and the US.

Bringing the charm and elegance of The Hari London with the dynamic energy of Hong Kong, The Hari’s Wan Chai location was a strategic decision to allow guests to embrace the cultural diversity of the old-school district. “We’re pleased to bring our very own brand, The Hari, from London to Hong Kong,” Dr. Aron Harilela says, “This is our home and I remain incredibly optimistic about its future. I see The Hari Hong Kong as a beacon for the city, and my hope is that its opening sends a clear and strong message of our confidence in what lies ahead”.

There are 210 guestrooms, including three rooftop suites, comprising spacious rooms with marble bathrooms, designed by Tara Bernerd.
