Location

The Body Holiday is situated alongside Cariblue Beach on the northern tip of Saint Lucia Island in the Caribbean. Located approximately 90 minutes from Hewanorra International Airport, the retreat is surrounded by lush tropical foliage and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.

Accommodation

Built into the hillside, The Body Holiday’s upscale accommodation doesn’t disappoint. Spread over 154 rooms, accommodation is split into three categories: ‘Garden View’, ‘Ocean View’ and ‘Ocean Front’. Rooms are further split into ‘Standard’, ‘Luxury’, ‘Grand Luxury’ and ‘Penthouse’ options.

There is also an exclusive luxury abode called ‘Villa Firefly’ which comprises four bedrooms and two suites, ideal for families or groups of friends. All rooms have four-poster beds, mahogany furnishings, balconies and high-end amenities including luxury bathroom products. There are no TVs in the rooms, so pack your iPad if you want to chill out in your room.

Food Programme

The Body Holiday regards a healthy diet as one of the integral ‘pillars’ to holistic wellbeing. The resort has five restaurants, all of which will please the most discerning palettes. Along with a range of themed menus that showcase international flavours from East and West, the retreat specialises in Ayurvedic cuisine and customised diet plans which cater to all dietary needs (including gluten-free, dairy-free, diabetic, low-carb and low-fat). Many of the veggies, herbs and fruit served at the resort are grown in its on-site garden which practices pesticide-free, non-GMO, sustainable farming methods. The Body Holiday also has its own recipe book that is filled with delicious, nutritious meals that can be prepared at home, post-retreat.

Treatment Programme

Wellbeing takes many forms at The Body Holiday and along with its innovative wellness centre (which has 47 treatment rooms), the resort boasts an ‘Ayurvedic Temple’ (for traditional Ayurvedic therapies) and a ‘Body Science Clinic’ (for anti-aging treatments). It runs a signature retreat programme which covers all holistic bases including: ‘Prana Life’ (yoga), ‘Stronger Me’ (weight loss), ‘Beautiful Inside’ (cleanse and detox), ‘Balancing Lives’ (Vedic), and ‘Soul Sabbatical’ (de-stress and mindfulness). Spanning 7 days, these all-inclusive packages are overseen by an expert team of health and fitness practitioners. As well as the themed retreat’s, The Body Holiday also offers a range of ‘Mindfulness Experiences’, including yoga classes, Pilates instruction, Tai Chi sessions, meditation guidance and equine (horse) therapy.
