From the frantic pace to the long working hours, we could all use a little more zen in the city and retreat destinations a little closer to home. In Hong Kong, our wishes have been answered: Fivelements, the award-winning integrated wellness lifestyle company best known for their eponymous retreat in Bali, are expanding into city destinations and opening their first urban retreat in the heart of Hong Kong.
The first standalone Yoga & Sacred Arts city destination will begin accepting memberships in the spring of 2019, catering to both the corporate clientele in need of a little R&R as well as urban wellness warriors. The holistic retreat will provide a broad range of practices and services to foster better mental and physical health, aid self-exploration, and improve general wellness.

“At Fivelements, we recognise that optimal wellness comes from embracing and respecting the body, mind and spirit, where health and self-realisation are reflections of the love, authenticity, and harmony within. Whilst our retreat experiences in Fivelements Bali offer an excellent opportunity for guests to immerse in transformative healing over a residential stay, our new Yoga & Sacred Arts models will support our city guests closer to their homes,” said Chicco Tatriele, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Fivelements. “We’re really excited at the prospect of realising our vision of city destinations and bringing the benefits of a wellness lifestyle more regularly to a wider audience.”
Based in Times Square, Causeway Bay, the retreat is ideally located for a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. Offering yoga, meditation, mindfulness, martial arts, dance, sound healing, intuitive healing, energy work, bodywork, natural beauty treatments and wellness coaching, the holistic centre will host private and group sessions, workshops, events, and day retreats. Additionally, the urban retreat will feature Fivelements plant-based cuisine, made famous by Sakti Dining Room Bali—we may be hard-pushed to not spend every weekend there.

“We will be introducing new formats of the cuisine in our city destinations, including Sakti Elixir Bars and Delicatessen, traiteur-inspired eat-in or eat-out models,” said Lahra Tatriele, CIO and Co-Founder of Fivelements. “Our commitment to great-tasting plant- powered cuisine has proven integral to our brand experience and an essential bridge to wellness for our guests and their overall wellness success.”
Since opening in 2010, Fivelements has been a leader in the wellness scene, with their signature Bali eco-resort renowned for its wellness programmes, including prenatal, yoga, culinary journeys, detox, and holistic romantic retreats. The retreat has won over 30 international awards from the hotel, resort, wellness, spa, culinary and sustainable design industries.
“The wellness economy is gaining momentum through a greater awareness of the importance of holistic health and optimum wellness. We’re proud to support the expansion of the Fivelements brand and enable more people to experience the benefits of adopting wellness activities and lifestyles,” said Simon Flint, CEO of Evolution Wellness, the parent company of Fivelements. “We’re confident that Fivelements’ unique, proprietary approach to holistic wellness is relevant to the times and will continue to appeal to the discerning; we know we have a winning formula and we’re keen to leverage the strength of the multi-award winning Fivelements brand to bring this concept to more cities around the region.”
