The Global Wellness Institute today announced its 13th annual Global Wellness Summit would be moved from Hong Kong to Singapore. Taking place over the same dates from October 15th-17th 2019, the event organisers announced the event would be relocated to the Grand Hyatt Singapore.
The move comes after concerns over transportation and accessibility, following delays and cancellations at Hong Kong International Airport earlier this week due to ongoing political protests in the city.
“In an effort to ensure travel is as seamless as possible in and out of the Global Wellness Summit, our GWS leadership, advisory board and partners felt this shift in location was important for the collective wellbeing of everyone involved with the Summit,” said Susie Ellis, chairman and CEO of GWS. “We are working closely with event organizers and the host sponsor to ensure the event remains first-class and there is little interruption for all attendees and presenters.”
Now hosted at the Grand Hyatt Singapore, the Summit will be hosted on the same dates October 15-17th.

“Asia is a critically important region for business and wellness, and Singapore is a storied destination, a financial centre, and a safe and exciting home for the 2019 Global Wellness Summit,” explained Ellis on the choice of Singapore as the new host city.
Speakers like Neil Jacobs and Anna Bjurstam of Six Senses Hotels and Resorts, Rocco Forte Hotels Wellness Director Irene Forte, CatchOn PR Founder Cathy Chon, and Compare Retreats Founder Dervla Louli will be presenting topics and leading discussions on the US$4.2 trillion global wellness economy alongside other industry leaders and wellness visionaries.
